Hoover Dam & Welcome LA

This morning we set off early at 8 o'clock and ceremoniously received our Toyota Corolla. Then it went straight through Boulder City to Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. Absolutely impressive and probably only understandable if you've stood on top of the dam yourself. 200 meters deep down, deep blue water below! Looking at Lake Mead from above is simply mind-blowing.

After that, we drove 500 km through the desert, nothing but a few coyotes & cacti as far as the eye can see.

At around 7 p.m., we finally arrived in the City of Angels and were able to drive into the sunset. Our hotel is great and tomorrow we're going to Hogwarts, to the Universal Studios!
