Today is the day to say goodbye to the Norwegian Sun. After a final breakfast, we grab our two suitcases and make our way to Deck 3 to disembark the ship.
We could also have the crew bring our suitcases to the pier. But that requires another organizational process, and we know how that looks with Norwegian – no, thank you! We prefer to do it ourselves and know where our things ultimately are.
Oh yes, during our last walk on deck, we spot two giant yachts. One is named IJE and belongs to James Packer, an Australian entrepreneur and multi-billionaire. The ship is valued at around 200 million, with annual maintenance costs of about 15 million. For just under 2 million dollars, you can also rent the yacht, per week!!
The second little ship is called La Dadscha and belongs, as if we could think otherwise, to the Russian-born banker Oleg Tinkov, who is now Cypriot to keep his yacht. His yacht costs 110 million but is also cheaper to rent at only 630,000 dollars per week. However, it is also much uglier than the IJE ...
