Balkan Tag 10, 11 & 12 - The last days

While on Friday we only had free time in our new accommodation in Durrës by the sea, on Saturday our final concert took place in Tirana. The German Ambassador also attended the concert with her partner, who happened to be from Heidenheim. The heat and our thick concert attire made it difficult for us, and some of our singers had to sit down and have a drink during the concert to regain strength. Prior to that, we had already sung a mass, so our energy reserves were already partially depleted. Nonetheless, we did our best and were satisfied with the result, as we were rewarded with standing ovations once again! Afterwards, we had pizza together and enjoyed the last evening of our Balkan trip.

On Sunday morning, we had a photoshoot in concert attire on the beach at 07:30 am. Then at 09:00 am, the buses departed for the airport in Tirana. Upon arrival, we said goodbye to Emelda and thanked her for organizing our stay in Albania so well! Our flight then departed at 12:30 pm and safely landed at Frankfurt Airport at 2:35 pm. After a three-hour bus ride, we arrived at Schiller Gymnasium in Heidenheim, where we were able to embrace our family and friends!

Also, a big thank you to Denise for her great support and of course to Mr. Kammel, with whom we have once again created many great concerts and discovered new music!
