The bus ride was comfortable, but I still couldn't sleep. We waited for a while at the pier in Chumpon before we set off to Koh Tao on the catamaran. When we arrived on the island in the morning, I had breakfast at a café. There I met a middle-aged couple who gave me some tips and recommended an accommodation. I booked a bungalow just for myself and rested for a while.
I later went to the beach, where I met the two German girls from the Bangkok check-in and had a snack. We swam in the turquoise and clear sea, sunbathed, and watched a beautiful sunset. We made plans to have dinner in the evening. The next day, we booked a snorkeling trip. We were given snorkeling equipment and boarded a small boat to the first stop of the tour. We snorkelled at Shark Bay and two other bays. It was amazing, clear water, many fish and corals. After lunch on the boat, we went to the small island Nangyuan, not far from Koh Tao. It was only open during the day, which we took full advantage of. I explored the island, hiked up to the viewpoint, and snorkeled again in the turquoise water. We snorkelled one last time between the two islands before heading back towards the sunset. In the evening, I met up with the girls again for dinner at a beach restaurant.
