Valencia
After a rather late breakfast and a short tour of the city market, we are already back on our tour bus. But this time with luggage. Because this bus is taking us to Valencia. This journey takes a bit longer, and honestly, I regret sitting in the front seat. In the third largest city in Spain, there is naturally a lot of traffic and chaos. I feel like everyone is driving as they please ... on the edge of the old town, right next to the city gate, is our small, beautiful 'Hotel Blanq Carmen'. We haven't even had a chance to tour the bathroom yet, and our tour guide is already behind us. On a beautiful bridge above an old riverbed, we get a lot of information about Valencia and its qualities. She told us many things that amaze me... the third largest city in Spain, approximately 800,000 inhabitants, and as diverse as almost nowhere else. Since the bridge is right in front of the mighty city gate, we take our next break there and learn why the gate is hollow from behind and how they defended themselves. We walk next to many beautiful towers and churches, squares and fountains, and can hardly take it all in, so much there is to see. Luckily, there is a small food break near the large market hall. After many more pieces of information, the tour is finally finished and we can check into the hotel. Up on the hotel rooftop, there is a cute, beautiful terrace. There is a bar, many sofas, and even a small pool, which is, however, very cold. After a slightly longer rest, we go to the restaurant. Today we try a new rice dish ... always just rice. But this time it's arroz al horno ... a baked rice dish. It is really amazingly delicious, but of course, once again, too much ... in any case, no one will go hungry on our trip ...
For the legs, this day was really exhausting ... but we finished the day very well.
