How proud we are to drive the Alaska Highway. Great places for us to stay, no question ask.
In Whatson Lake, we placed an old license plate in the sign forest. Great route, the hot springs are perfect for us too.
The Valley of the Gold Washers and the town of Dawson City are worth seeing. The history is understandable - Jack London was here. We have fun here, take the ferry across the Yukon to the other side to the campsite and spend some time with Wolfi, a nice cyclist from Vienna who is traveling in the opposite direction. Hey Wolfi, safe travels ahead!!!
We continue to have and have had great experiences. We constantly meet people who tell us their stories and their lives, just as we like to tell our own.
We haven't had darkness for at least 3 weeks now. It doesn't get dark...
We visit Fairbanks, our northernmost city in Alaska. It's a nice little town. The whole area now smells like campfires. Forest fires are everyday topics and normal here.
After a brewery visit, we find ourselves in a riverbed, having a nice Sunday, the connection is somewhat decent.
MANNI always finds a perfect spot for the night. Man is so curious that one can't stand more than 2 nights in one place.
Okay, the Denali State Park was closed to us due to fire. Now we're looking to get away from here too.
It was nice after Fairbanks when we were looking for a parking spot for the night, we ended up on the Hausberg, and right there people who make music organized a concert. We were warmly welcomed and invited. We had the most beautiful music in the front row until midnight. Yes, that's how fun it is.
Now I'll say good night. It's 9:40 PM here, the sun is shining 🙃🌞
Stay healthy and don't be surprised if it takes so long again 👋🏼🇺🇸🍁❤️
With love,
Anette, Jörg, and Freddy 🫶
