With lots of energy from sleep and breakfast, we head to Australia Zoo, which is 2km away. Even before we had our tickets, we were welcomed by a Blue Tounge Lizard, which immediately made a happy pee and poop at the sight of the many visitors and their petting.
We were transported to Africa with a shuttle and were able to get up close and personal with not only the giants but also the little creatures.
We slowly made our way through Asia's ruins and temples towards Australia.
One of the highlights awaited us on the way to the arena! A vast kingdom of kangaroos, where you could join them and enjoy the moment!
The main attraction 'Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors Show!' presented us with free-flying birds, snakes, and Charlie, a magnificent saltwater crocodile!
After a lunch break, we continued past alpacas, koalas, binturongs, dingos, Tasmanian devils, crocs, lizards, and many more!
To prepare ourselves for the next few weeks, we looked at the many snakes that we could encounter. We learned: Poisonous, more poisonous, most poisonous = Dead, deader, deadest!
To calm our nerves, we visited the wombats and melted at the sight of a mommy one.
Another highlight was cuddling a cute koala! #superfluffy! In the end, we discovered the sanctuary of many koala babies! Helene is in heaven! Barbara and Wolfgang be careful, you'll become grandma and grandpa!
A successful and educational day! Good night and see you next time!
