Slept in and had breakfast until 10am. Actually, I wanted to explore more of the city last night. What will I do here for the whole day now? The internet is still so bad. I lay down in the hammock for a short while. Hmm, maybe I should ask the reception if I can get a refund for the night? Or at least a partial refund? Rushed to the reception. I explained that my plans had changed. He talked briefly with a colleague. And: I actually got the entire amount refunded. I thanked them profusely.
I was able to get on the bus station right away, yes! 1.5 hours drive to Phitsanulok by bus. Only this city has a connection to the railway network. Arriving there, I walked one kilometer to the train station. The disillusionment: all trains are fully booked until the evening. And now what? I already booked the accommodation in Lop Buri. I needed a quick solution. Left my luggage at the train station. First, I had to find Wi-Fi. After 15 minutes, I found a café. I explained the situation to the accommodation. They responded pretty quickly and said that I can come a day later. Then I booked a hostel in Phitsanulok for one night. As always, a simple but practical accommodation.
Then I went to the market in the city, then got a massage. The oil felt strange on my skin. It kind of burned, but it went away. After that, I couldn't get enough of food. Skewers and much more became mine. At these prices, you can't resist. Fully loaded, including all my valuables, as there is no locker in the accommodation, I went back to the hostel. I finished repairing my notebook. Now it's running somewhat smoothly. Only Microsoft Office is missing.
