16th day: crossing South Sweden

Pubblicato: 27.06.2019

After a peaceful night, we wake up relatively early, the boys are already dressed.

After breakfast, we immediately continue because today we have a longer stretch ahead of us, about 330km.

We try to divide it into two parts, the first stage is the town of Vaxjö, about 80 km away, which we try to complete before Adam wakes up. It went quite well, around 10 o'clock we were already there. Ben was a bit tired, he almost fell asleep, even though he had already given up on morning naps.

We spend the morning exploring the walking street.

Nothing special, just passing the time until Adam gets his lunch at 11.

Ben met a Swedish girl with whom they trampolined together, sometimes together, sometimes alternately. They both talked as if they spoke the same language.

After lunch, we set off for our destination, Malmö, about 250 km away.

The boys fall asleep quickly, Adam always falls asleep quickly, Ben sometimes. In one moment he was chatting, in the next he was already snoring.

We crossed a large part of the lake through Smaland, in the middle of beautiful forests.

We saw many smaller and larger lakes with lush vegetation. Straight roads, with some roller coaster-like hills and valleys.

There is very little traffic, there are only a few adventurers like us on the road with their motorhomes.

After 3 hours in the afternoon, we catch a glimpse of the Öresund Bridge in the distance, the middle high pillars are already recognizable. On the other side, the higher buildings of Copenhagen can also be seen.

We are making good progress in heavy traffic towards our destination, the campsite located at the foot of the bridge.

We check in, fortunately there is still space, although there are many people. It is a peaceful and quiet place, in the Limhamn neighborhood. Clean, well-kept, fairly new campground. Huge playground, no child can get bored here.

In the afternoon, we look around a bit, the beach, the bridge, and the campground area.

Ben signals his intention to splash around, considering the hot weather. Spontaneously headed to the beach.

We didn't have swimming trunks, but he can go naked, so there was no obstacle. We just washed our feet again. Adam also stepped into the water a bit, he has to bring it in, otherwise he will give off loud signals of dissatisfaction😍

Ben is a little daredevil, always venturing further and further, not even afraid of deep water. Of course, we won't let him go too far, he prefers to sit in the 20 cm deep water to cool his little balls😂

After swimming, we headed for showers to wash off the sand.

We delayed dinner for about an hour, fortunately none of the kids complained.
