This morning the boys didn't want to sleep anymore, so they were awake shortly after 6. We managed to stay in bed until 7, otherwise we would have been up very early.
Today is another day of travel, although we're not going too far. Our destination is a small town in the northern part of the island, about 60 km away.
Shortly after 8, everyone is ready for breakfast and after a short stop (we filled up the water tank and emptied the wastewater tank) we're on the move again.
Adam is already napping, as usual, and we're trying to entertain our little navigator.
We're making good progress through the inhabited area. We mostly see farms, with plenty of grazing cows. It's a barren, flat landscape, reminiscent of the Hungarian Great Plain.
On our way, we stop at a huge windmill in Sandvik. This attraction is called Sandviks Kvarn. Since we're too early, the café and restaurant inside the mill are still closed.
There's nothing left to do but take a photo and continue on.
After about half an hour, we reach our campsite, which is spacious and has a great location near the beach.
We're getting ready for lunchtime. After that, the boys will take a nap so they have the energy for the afternoon exploration tour.
In the afternoon, we visited the tiny fishing village harbor, and there is a beach a little further away. Since we had lovely sunny weather, the boys were able to wear their swim trunks and go for a swim.
After swimming, we wandered around the charming little harbor, where there are several restaurants and boutiques.
After dinner, it's time for sweet dreams. It was a long, tiring day. 😄
