We left on time. After breakfast, in the room and packing the suitcase, and leaving the tip for the maid/the carpenter?! By the way, I should mention here that Karin leaves at least €2 in the room with each change, because the women/men certainly don't belong to the best-paid in the tourism industry. We also left our unused bus ticket for two people behind, maybe she/he can still use it?!

My co-pilot guided us out of this city as well, and we only had to find a gas station. Finally, we had about 350 km ahead of us! But even that is not as simple as in Germany, and then again without personnel and only with a card. Experienced people like us can no longer be shocked, and the price of €1.56 (95 E 10) compensates. Maybe our "Wilde Hilde" should only get this in Germany? By the way, we didn't consciously see 95 E 5 here, the higher category is 98 leaded? I should also look into this!

In any case, the navigation system played with us again, and from the default setting of "without tolls," it became a full visit to toll highways with money!? Doesn't matter, we drove comfortably at 90 - 110 km/h towards Dijon and had a lightly traveled and well-maintained highway. Really, this is how driving becomes fun! The only downside are the costs, and this time we paid about €35!!! But it's worth it for us, and the accompanying audio play was very captivating, even though it ended unexpectedly and with several question marks. There must be a second part, right?

In Dijon, there were also no sudden "high points of tension". We learn something new every day and slowly learn to accept it when Karin's navigation system becomes schizophrenic in the cities. First, it shows us the right way, and then it suddenly starts acting up! We're suddenly supposed to turn off, we're supposed to turn around, we hear nothing and see only, we're already there, even though we're still on the way!? Karin is always desperate, but that's a problem with the navigation system. So, at a red light, it's best to restart and then we can continue. Like in Dijon, and the parking lot in front of the train station with the expensive ticket was the end. From here, we only had to walk for three minutes and reached our hotel (Hotel Paris), which was located in the pedestrian zone of Dijon. They couldn't offer us a parking lot (offered at Bookingcom for €10 per day) because all available spaces were booked! At this point, the reader should take away that the car park is a central decision-making aid when looking for accommodations on such a tour! We left "Wilde Hilde" in the train station parking lot and checked in. We didn't get the elite room, and the breakfast for €10 seemed very expensive to us. Let's see how generous it is tomorrow?

We had planned to get ourselves a cold drink after arriving, but everything was closed and only opened again in the evening! Well, then we'll just go to the city and visit the tourist office, as always. But it seems we overlooked an important date: at the end of the summer vacation, a huge market event takes place here (maybe also in the other French cities?). All the streets are filled with all kinds of sales stalls. On the one hand, by small traders who also cover the demand for clothes, shoes, jewelry, and daily necessities at the small markets. On the other hand, all the shops present locally are open and offer their shelf-warmers and discontinued models at very low prices on the street. This day has a specific name, as we learned at the tourist office, and is a kind of "Black Friday"! We didn't miss any busy street and already did a city tour that way. But with more peace and quiet, along with the appropriate information and better photo opportunities, we'll catch up on that tomorrow. As for food, once again we didn't find the typical French restaurant, so we settled for a wok-Thai studio. Not bad either! The evening ended for us with cold drinks at a pizza restaurant. We had to have two cocktails and two beers for about €33!
