Yes, I'm still alive!
The weather and leisure activities were just too good in the past few days to write blog posts... But here I am again.
Approximately 25 degrees, permanently shining sun, long beach stays, and many hours on and off the tennis court have characterized the past few days, especially the weekend. While I didn't do anything on Friday evening, I went to the tennis club on Saturday at 2 p.m. - this time with sunscreen in my luggage, luckily! 😎
I played singles and doubles in various constellations and afterwards watched Wimbledon with many players in the clubhouse, until I finally arrived back at my host family at around 9:30 p.m. A day exactly to my taste! I made further contacts and thus also potential future opponents! 😊
On Sunday, I was at the beach with my host brother Patrick and some of his classmates from 12 p.m. until around 5 p.m. and was able to recover perfectly from the day before. The sunscreen bottle is significantly emptier, but my skin is also significantly more tan and the sea is simply amazing! The pebble beach is the only thing that clouded this day, but that's nitpicking at a high level... Brighton is just great! 😊
Yesterday, Monday, it was business as usual and I went to work at 10 a.m., before I was able to welcome a new colleague at 2 p.m. Eva, a Frenchwoman, is also doing her internship at Let Students and it is quite interesting to speak English with someone else who has a similar level of knowledge but comes from a different country!
Today is Tuesday and the weather has let us down for the first time since we arrived. Continuous rain has been forecasted since noon today and I don't need to write much more about that...
I also don't attach any photos to rainy weather - that doesn't apply to the weekend, so don't forget to look at the photos! 😊
See you soon!
