As Henriette wanted to go on a boat ride, this morning we took a trip with the boat 'Europa' to the Shell Island. The island is located between the Adriatic Sea and the Marano Lagoon. After a half-hour ride there, we stayed on the island for about 1.5 hours. The island was very natural, with many seagulls and thousands of shells along the beach. Henriette had a lot of fun collecting shells... and there were really some beautiful ones. In the water, you could see small crabs or crustaceans and also 'shell inhabitants' walking with their shell houses. Really impressive - but Jette was a little scared of them :-) In the afternoon, we were back at the beach and that's when Juliane also sorted shells. Putting them in the molds and taking them out again, and sometimes trying to put one in her mouth, in case Mom doesn't scold ;-)
