We then headed to Riding Mountain National Park and onto Winnipeg.
We are more or less on our return journey. So far, everything has gone fairly well - except for a few minor issues. Now we have encountered bigger problems. During our drive from Winnipeg to Kenora, we were listening to a CD in the vehicle. After 15 minutes, the player shut off, the whole area was very hot, and it smelled like something was burning. After a while, we were able to restart the radio/navigation/rearview camera system, and the navigation worked. For safety reasons, we turned it off again, and then the device wouldn't turn back on and seems to be defective. This means no music, no navigation, and no rearview camera until the end. Our phone now serves as a substitute for navigation.
An hour later: At the next stop, the camper initially did not start and then, when it did run, displayed some electronic errors in the system, including the engine symbol. When this light is on, the engine goes into limp mode, which is now the case. It is impossible to cover the approximately 4000 km to Halifax this way, especially since the engine will be further restricted eventually. We managed to reach a campground in Kenora (about 15,000 residents). Today is Sunday, tomorrow we will visit the 3 workshops here, hoping they can read and reset the error with their diagnostic equipment or repair the cause. We tried to reset the system by disconnecting the battery today, but it did not work. The end is open...
