From San Bernardino di Conio via Pantasina to Porto Maurizio

Day 22 (September 22)

When we came out of the tents today, it was cloudy but dry. We started walking on the road as we didn't have much food left and wanted to do some shopping in Carpasio. On Colle d'Oggia, we took the hiking trail. Jana wasn't feeling very well, so after about half an hour, we decided to go back to the road.

On the way, a truck driver told us that there was no store in Carpasio, but the nearest one was in Pantasina, so we changed our destination. After a few minutes, a German couple stopped and gave Alex and Jana a ride to the village. It started raining heavily on the way. When Simi and Rapha arrived in Pantasina, they were soaking wet. Except for their underwear.

We took out the last somewhat dry clothes and thought about what to do next. The hiking shoes of the two were soaked, so a long hike was no longer an option.

After a portion of spaghetti, we decided to hitchhike the last leg, which wouldn't have been very exciting anyway.

We split up into pairs and met in the late afternoon in Porto Maurizio by the sea, where we immediately went for a swim despite the rain.

Our goal has now been achieved, earlier than expected, and there are still a few relaxing days by the sea with lots of pizza and swimming to look forward to.
