Shopping day in Minnesota

Pubblicato: 21.10.2018

Hello dear readers,

today it has once again been shown that in America many things are different than in Germany, but from the beginning. Today started very early. We left already at 9:00 o'clock. After a long drive on the highway, Katelyn, her friend, my host sister Lily, Anne, Lara, and I arrived at the biggest candy store in Minnesota. At this place, there are sweets from many different countries, for example from Germany, Japan, and the Netherlands. The selection was so huge that it was impossible to decide, and Lara, Anne, and I were among the few who left this store empty-handed. After another hour, we reached the city of Minneapolis, where the 'Mall of America' is located. As soon as we reached the mall, we were faced with the next challenge: the search for a parking slot. After 30 minutes, at 2:30 pm, the search was over. If you think that the shopping malls in Germany are big, then you have never been to the Mall of America. It is huge and includes an amusement park
and Sealife. Furthermore, there are information points that reveal your desired shop and calculate the fastest route there...typical America. We were very surprised that the sellers were unusually friendly. Right after entering the store, they asked us how our day was and if we were successful. After a successful shopping tour, we ate pizza and sweets on the way back and were so exhausted that we fell asleep.

Fun fact: it is the most visited mall in the world with 42 million visitors annually.

Shopping in Amerika, da kommt die Kreditkarte bestimmt schnell an ihr Limit. Eine Woche ist schon vorbei, wie die Zeit doch vergeht. Habt weiter eine tolle Zeit. Liebe Grüße aus Köthen!
