Kia Ora,
I'm writing again with another post about my forced stay in the Canterbury region of New Zealand. After a whole group of Germans got together at the campsite and Leonie and Josef were joined by Sophia and Anna, we treated ourselves as a large group to a day trip to the Hanmer Springs Thermal Baths. Here, sulphurous water flows into artificially created pools and bathers can enjoy the day in water that is up to 40 degrees and soak up the heat.
In addition to these various hot pools, the pool also has several slides and a sports swimming area. Accordingly, there is a lot of variety and we spent the entire day there.
There aren't many more pictures of the actual bath, but if you're really interested, you can just google Hanmer Springs.
It is about a 1.5 hour drive from the campsite and the journey there alone was worth the trip.
In addition to the day in Hanmer Springs, we also went for a lot of walks in the area around the campsite as a small group. If you look around a bit, you'll find some really nice spots there (especially for dogs).
There's not much more to say about this, so I'll see you in the next post. Hugs!
Your Britta
