Clouds of Singapore - Gardens by the Bay

Friends of the sun,

today we are talking about the Gardens by the Bay and my visit to the Clouds of Singapore. It was a warm day with wonderful weather that simply turned green. I started the day slowly and walked to the place where I had watched the light show the night before, after a delicious breakfast. I didn't have a specific plan for my day and just walked wherever my feet took me. So I bought a combi-ticket for the Treewalk and also the Clouds of Singapore, and I headed to the heights of these incredibly cool structures. Unfortunately, walking up the stairs was not allowed, as visitors are only permitted to use the elevator.

From up here, I had a really good view all around, and the trees are planted all the way to the top, serving not only as a fantastic light show and an attraction for tourists. They are an innovative urban garden that combines nature, architecture, and technology, contributing to the improvement of urban life quality. The facility serves as the green lung of the city and includes several thematic gardens as well as impressive greenhouses like the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome. The iconic Supertrees collect solar energy, support cooling in the surrounding area, and are part of a sustainable ecosystem. It's a wonderfully cool concept that could be used in other cities to make the living and urban environment greener and more comprehensive.

After visiting the Supertrees, I continued to the Cloud Forest and into one of the two enormous domes. Inside the dome, there are incredibly many flowers and plants, as well as a lot of art hidden among all the different shades of green.

And as if the plants and greenery weren't enough, there is also a large waterfall that cascades down from the top of the tower and a pathway that runs from top to bottom through greenery and alongside the water. A truly cool project and a great idea that also reminds one a bit of Avatar and Pandora.

Some art also perfectly reflects in the small pond that is built at the top. Additionally, I also had really good weather here and enjoyed the sun shining through the glass roof.

After that, I enjoyed some delicious Indian food (I had Thosai). On the way home, I encountered a downpour and walked in the rain through the Gardens by the Bay to the subway. It was an absolute dream - I had the entire walkway and park to myself because everyone else was crowded in cafés and under the coverings. An absolutely dreamy, quiet, and GREEN day in Singapore.
