Today we use the day for a swim in the Baltic Sea. It's so hot that the cold water provides a pleasant refreshment.
Sammy builds a sandcastle before we set off towards Gedser, where the car ferry to Rostock departs.
We stow our beloved home in the cargo hold and with a delay of about 20 minutes, we set off. 'Farvel Danmark', we'll be back! The ferry is half duty-free shop and self-service buffet. Seats are unfortunately scarce. You only see truck drivers buying loads of beer and other alcoholic beverages (which we find rather expensive) in the shop.
The two-hour journey passes quickly and we're on our way to Lüneburger Heide, where we want to spend the last two mobile nights. The journey takes longer as usual (typical German highways). Accident and traffic jam near Hamburg, we choose a detour, but we still need more than an hour longer than planned. When we arrive, it's already dark (21:45), luckily we have pre-booked the camping site near Celle and we just need to drive to our pitch. For dinner, we only have the leftovers from the fridge (which need to be eaten anyway).
