Since they had forecasted sunny weather again for today, we headed to Lake Louise. We arrived relatively early at 8:30 am and managed to find a parking spot near the lake, although there were already many tourists at the beginning of the lake. But still, it was very beautiful to see - the turquoise water, the glacier, and the mountains in the background. The impressive hotel also has something special. To escape the crowds a bit, we walked along the lake to the end and then back the same way. On the way back, we always had the hotel in sight - a wonderful tour.
Back in Banff, it was time to restock supplies and then head to the campground.
In the afternoon, we set off on foot to the Hoodoos and then along the Bow River Trail to Banff. A beautiful and quiet hike of a total of 8km. The sky had become overcast, but apart from a few drops, we were spared from the rain. At Eddie's Burger Bar, we had delicious burgers and used the internet to look for the next campgrounds.
On the way back, we took the bus again and by now, it was raining a bit more.
Distance traveled: 130km
Conclusion: a beautiful last day in the Rocky Mountains
