My first destination after Noosa is Brisbane, and the special thing is that I am exploring this beautiful city with friends from home.

I can't tell anyone how excited I was at the airport. And of course, a few tears were shed, as is always the case with me!

On our first day together, we took a tour to Springbrooke National Park - originally with a bushwalk through the rainforest. A phrase describes the tour quite well: 'Fingercross that the way is open' :D Unfortunately, many paths were closed due to Cyclone Debbie, so the 4 km bushwalk was cancelled. But we still saw a rainforest, impressive with its huge trees, some of which are thousands of years old. Then we went to the Rock Pools, I'm glad I'm still alive! Once again, an abyss that made my heart beat wildly. But the guide took great care of me and my little or big fear, and I'm alive! In addition, we visited various lookouts and spent a lot of time on the bus. But a bus ride is nice, a bus ride is fun, especially when your best friends are with you!

I personally liked the second tour better. We went to Stradebrooke Island, and I love Straddie <3 It takes about 1 hour from Brisbane to the ferry, which takes you to the island in 45 minutes. Our first stop was Brown Lake, where we could dip into the water a little bit.

Then we went to a part of the island where we could see koalas, and thanks to eagle-eyed Katharina, I finally saw a koala in the wild.

We could stroll along the beach and enjoy the view and the sea air.

After the stop, we went for lunch, and what can I say, we got to eat with a view of the sea, not just a sandwich or wrap, but hot food, and it was the best fish and chips I've had in Australia! We were all satisfied, happy, and content  Then we finally got to go into the sea, the waves were great, and we had a lot of fun together (including pants and tops that slipped :D) We would have liked to stay longer, but of course, we had to move on at some point and we were the last ones on the bus, not honoring German punctuality.

The next stop was the Coastal Walk, which is also absolutely worth seeing!

After that, we had the most delicious, truly Italian ice cream for us - it was worth the money - real ice cream love <3 After that, we went to visit my friends, the kangaroos, and then back to the ferry!

After the two tours, we explored Brisbane together. And I believe I speak for all of us when I say that we really like Brisbane! I have rarely experienced such a selection of restaurants, bars, and cafés. Brisbane has an ideal size, it is a big city, but still easy to navigate. A major plus point is, of course, Charlotte Street ;) It is a vibrant city full of life, with lots of live music and a great cultural scene. Despite being a city, Brisbane has a lot of greenery with Southbank or the Roma Parklands. There is a huge, and I emphasize free, swimming pool/lagoon/city beach! Brisbane is a place where I could imagine living! As you can tell, I'm enthusiastic and can only recommend Brisbane to anyone traveling to Australia!

For me, the journey continues to Australia's Miami tomorrow - I'm excited! And I say: Welcome to Miami!
