Wake up at 6:30, by 8:15 we are already sitting in front of the Parliament House in Canberra ACT (Australian Capital Territory) and enjoying the warm sun rays during breakfast. At 9:30, we are attending the first guided tour of the day. Very interesting, and our guide spoke very clearly for us. We were not only allowed to visit the premises such as the lower house and the senate, but also learned a lot. And the view from the roof of the city is just great!
After visiting some embassy buildings, we enjoy the exhibitions at the National Gallery. At first, Birgit is not really interested, but in the end, she finds it hard to say goodbye. Very diverse!
In the War Memorial, we experience the horror of war. Fascinating presentations captivate and disturb us. Others make us sad. The death of loved ones becomes so tangible here.
Finally, we enjoy the view of the sunset from Mount Ainslie.
