We end our stay in Adelaide with a ska concert in the evening. 3 bands are really going for it. Although ska is not our thing, we are completely enthusiastic about the 'The Resignators' from Victoria. They may not be young anymore, but they have a really good sound and come across very likable.
The next morning we have to return our campervan and fly to Perth. Everything goes smoothly. Once we arrive in Perth, we pick up our rental car and about an hour later we are already in Fremantle. There we check into our vacation apartment 'The Hub' and have an exceptionally delicious pizza at Ruocco's.
Due to the time difference, we wake up before 5 a.m. the next day and get up shortly after. We use the time to organize our things, including all the shopping we have done, for the return transport. And we also do some morning exercise.
In the immediate vicinity of the apartment, there are plenty of cafes, bakeries, and health food stores. Everywhere you can take something with you or eat on site. It all looks incredibly appetizing. There are even proper baked goods, just like we Germans imagine. That brings joy! After we have stocked up, we have breakfast on our balcony in the sun. I could start every day like this!
Well fortified, we make our way to the Street Arts Festival. On the way there, we take a little stroll.
Overall, we watch 6 shows that afternoon. In our opinion, the quality of the performances is even higher than last time 2 years ago. We were particularly impressed by a young floor acrobatics team from France (Surprise Effect), a stuntman (The Space Cowboy), and a Spaniard (Kerol) who conjures up multi-voice a cappella on stage all by himself.
