Day 3 Koh Lanta

Pubblicato: 22.02.2023

Today we woke up very early again and, following the advice of two people, bought a sandwich at the seven eleven supermarket for breakfast. Greetings to Lea and Maria.

It was really delicious!

Then we walked through the jungle a bit and saw many monkeys AND (the highlight of my day) a flying lizard!

The only monkey photo

After taking the wrong path for a short while, we finally arrived at our destination, the waterfall.

Small but nice

Then we went back and went for elephant tracking. First, we had a delicious shrimp salad for lunch.

But this elephant organization is not so much about entertaining people, but rather about providing elephants with a protected space where they can still roam naturally (in short, if you're interested, you can watch 'following Giants' on Koh Lanta). Anyway, we were not allowed to touch, feed, or ride the elephants, which we consciously chose.

It was great to observe them

Afterwards, we were served watermelon shake and fresh pineapple and watermelon. Really nice people and great hosts!

Love for fruits

After that, we were pretty exhausted. We had planned to go to the beach, but our adventures took longer than expected, so we went back to the hostel, took a shower, and got ready. Before that, we booked our transfer to Koh Phagnan.

In the evening, we went to 2 street food markets. There, I ate not only really delicious crickets but also something 'normal'. The crickets were really tasty. The spice was amazing and the texture was just like chips. Worth trying.

Mmmh tasty crickets.

Otherwise, the evening was not spectacular. We were also glad when we finally got into bed and could more or less sleep. In the middle of the night, our door suddenly opened, but it was probably pushed open by the strong wind, and the mosquitoes didn't want to let me sleep.
