38th post - A day full of Anaïs

Ebipụtara: 17.03.2024

This Tuesday, an exercise at the university was cancelled, which of course was the perfect excuse to skip my morning lecture as well (possibly for the third time in a row. Oops.)

just green

So I arranged to meet Anaïs, a girl I had met two weeks before and with whom I had done a lot since then.

I drove to a supermarket, from where she would then take me so that we would only use one car. Our first stop was the Bassins la mer and les aigrettes . Les Aigrettes was unfortunately closed and since there were cameras in front of the barrier, we didn't dare climb over it. But we were able to enjoy the view of this enchanted bridge.

Bridge

We then went on to Bassin la mer , where we had to realize, somewhat painfully, that school children also go on excursions during the school holidays during the week :D

The pool was still beautiful, there was a waterfall that you could see straight away and one that you could only see if you swam a bit around the rock. We spent some time here eating our sandwiches and chatting.

Sea basin

When we got back to the car, we decided to drive to Îlet Bethléem . There we took a beautiful little path where we could see many interesting plants.

Cool root that holds the rock together

Because there were a lot of paths, we got a little lost, but it was so beautiful here that it wasn't a problem. We sat down at the edge of the river for a while and I swam a little, but the current was pretty strong, so we decided to look for another place.

River point

We then arrived at an open space with abandoned buildings and ruins. It was quite interesting and we looked around for a while. From there we went to another spot by the river, chatted, practiced skipping stones and took a short nap

Stairs in the void

We woke up from our nap with some difficulty and then decided to add a third pool : Cascade Délices . It was on the way back anyway, so it was a good idea. When we got there, we met an old lady who didn't show us the right way, but instead led us to a place that was really enchantingly beautiful (and without other people).

The home of all mosquitoes on this island

We took a quick swim in the river, but were then chased away by literal swarms of mosquitoes for dinner and decided to move on.

When we arrived at the "right" place, we were no longer alone, but the place was still really beautiful. The waterfall was perfectly illuminated by the sun and it was fun just to watch it sparkle.

Cascade Delices

We were both really tired by now and decided to go home at around 4:30 p.m. So she dropped me off at the supermarket again and I drove the last 10 km home alone.

Fate was not quite sure whether I had really had enough Anaïs for today, however, and so I had an accident with another Anaïs 3 km from my house. I was in a multi-lane roundabout and wanted to stay there, but Anaïs number 2 wanted to take the exit. It was just a shame that I was still between her and that one. I forgave her pretty quickly, but not my car door.

poor thing

We were finally able to resolve it amicably and without insurance, but I would have preferred to have saved myself the stress :D
