Day 7 - Knysna
After another delicious breakfast with Frenchtoast and Scrubnled Eggs, we packed our 7 things and drove towards Knysna. At the beginning, it was again a bumpy ride on a moderately good highway. After about 40 km, we reached the suburb of Port Elizabeth, which consisted of a huge township. There was trash everywhere between the sparse tin huts. Not really a place to linger. After 6 days, we got back on a 'proper highway' for the first time. The driving was really relaxed and the landscape along the Garden Route was beautiful. After about 3 hours, we reached Knysna. Unfortunately, we arrived a little early at the house and we couldn't check-in yet. So we left our luggage and went to the nearest supermarket. When we returned, we had to leave our biometric fingerprints with the security guys so that we could pass through the entrance gates. The cleaning lady was still not done yet (which didn't surprise me, as she was watching rugby on TV while ironing) they were done by 4:00 PM and we had the house to ourselves. We cooled off in the pool and in the evening, Kosi tried his hand at his own Braai. We had spare ribs, salad, and bread for dinner. Now we're enjoying the evening with a glass of wine.
