Tag 263 - Enjoying the new lodge & "on the road"

Hey guys

Today we woke up much more relaxed, because we knew: whether and what we do is entirely our decision :).

So we got up comfortably, splashed around in the pool and in the afternoon we set off outside. We actually wanted to walk to a small waterfall, which is very close to us. But it wasn't that easy to find. We drove the same street several times and always ended up in residential areas. Just before we wanted to give up, we actually found the right driveway! When we arrived at the parking lot, in the middle of the forest, we met two other tourists. We asked them if we were on the right path. They confirmed our assumption, but advised us not to walk the path. The waterfall had no water and it was full of mosquitoes. Somehow logical in the middle of the jungle... We even packed mosquito spray, but seeing the two men scratching all the time, there must be a lot of mosquitoes. After a short reconsideration, we decided to forget about it. It would have been cool to walk through the jungle, but since Kevin's hospital stay, we are not as naive on the road as we used to be.

Now the question arose: where to next? Meanwhile, we were pretty hungry and drove to our favorite bar. But when we arrived there, the owner told us that he won't offer food until May 4th. Oh well, since we were already there, we had a beer and enjoyed the great view.

Restaurants are allowed to open again tomorrow, but since we have a public holiday in addition to Sunday tomorrow, most of them will probably only open on May 4th.

That's why we later drove back to our accommodation and ordered really unhealthy food: pizza for me, a kebab plate for Kevin, and nachos to share :). Heyyyyyy, we hadn't eaten anything all day and... You gotta treat yourself :D

We spent the rest of the evening updating the blog to the latest state and uploading photos. Now it's already 11 pm and we're signing off for today ;)

Oh yeah, almost forgot! Hihihihi, after it was announced yesterday that the alcohol sales ban will be extended for another month, this morning came the news that sales will be allowed again starting Monday. That's what we meant by "Everything is announced very last-minute - usually only a day before it comes into effect" :)

Well, if everything continues to loosen up, we can soon move on (at least in Thailand) :). That would be great!
