Beautiful nature in the world wonder

This morning at 5:00 am the night was over for us. 

As befits the Grand Canyon, we had to watch the sunrise over the national park. 

We drove into the national park, which is just a stone's throw away from our hotel, and then took a shuttle bus to the viewpoint.

Since we arrived in the dark yesterday, we had no idea what to expect.

The sight that greeted us was absolutely insane!! 

The forest eventually simply disappears and it's as if the earth is splitting open. Directly in front of us was the Grand Canyon with its mountains, cliffs, and valleys. The pictures can't even begin to capture how amazing it is there!

Afterwards, we drove back, because an absolute highlight was on the program - the helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon 😍🚁

At the airport, we received some brief safety instructions and a life jacket (for a flight over the mountains 🤔), and then it was off.

It was the first helicopter flight for both of us. After a few minutes of flying over the surrounding forest, we flew over the Grand Canyon 😍. This view can really only be seen from a bird's eye perspective! You almost feel like an eagle and both the feeling and the panorama were breathtaking!

It wasn't cheap, but definitely worth every penny!! We can only recommend to everyone: fly over the Grand Canyon if you are here!!!

Afterwards, we had a little afternoon slump 🙈 After a short nap, we watched a short film about the secrets of the national park - only to take another nap afterwards. 😂😴

The long drive yesterday and then the early wake-up call really exhausted us 😄🙈

We spent the afternoon in the park again. We hiked along the edge of the canyon to a spot where we had a great view of the sunset.

Conclusion of the day: the Grand Canyon is rightfully one of the greatest natural wonders on this earth!! Here, one is reminded again of how beautiful but also how immense nature can be - if we let it.
