Hello everyone,
Last night was quite exciting... :)
Despite the pounding sea, we were able to sleep very well, Roman and Tiziana also slept relatively well... But with us...
At 5 am, something pinched my leg and I woke up. The darkness played a trick on me first - I thought someone was standing in our bungalow. Wide awake now, it pinched again. Honestly, I thought it would start in my head now :). But then it pinched again and suddenly Kevin jumped out of bed wide awake. We turned on the light and saw something tiny (10-20cm long) gliding over the floor. Kevin chased it with a broom until it escaped outside through a crack. At that moment, we were 100% sure that it was a baby snake - we have since considered that it could also have been a lizard *embarrassed look*.
Tonight we will definitely install the mosquito net and not because of the mosquitoes... :)
The day, on the other hand, was really cool! We grabbed our motorcycles and explored the island.
First stop: Lunch at a restaurant with a view of the countryside & sea. It was great!
Then we continued aimlessly on the motorcycle.
The roads here are really awesome!!! We also took small paths that led uphill, through the forest and sometimes so steeply that you thought it was impossible to drive up from below. At the top, I dropped my bike... Yes... It was really steep and I made the mistake of braking instead of accelerating... Don't worry, nothing happened except a small scratch.
We kept driving and driving in search of a beach. We reached a great viewpoint and from there on roads where we were grateful for the enduros. So much fun! Uphill and downhill on bumpy paths.
We didn't find the desired beach, but a real adventure instead!
In the late afternoon, we stopped for a drink on the way back at a really secluded, local bar and drove back to the bungalows.
After a short shower and rest break, we set off again.
We found a great restaurant, which we will probably visit again tomorrow. Very good food, views of the sea, and beautifully decorated.
After another stop at a bar, we slowly made our way back to our bungalows.
You will hear from us again tomorrow ;).
Until then!
