Friday, December 22nd: The bus no longer runs, but is there as a decoration... Elmar got from A to B on the Fiji Islands with something like that over 30 years ago... Koh Libong is an island in front of which manatees exist. Unfortunately we haven't seen any yet, but our hotel is named after you: Le Dugong
Our daily routine has settled down a bit and we start with a later breakfast. In the first picture you can see a few Thai treats that we get for free every morning: a fried dough piece, a round dough piece filled with rice, a pancake roll and sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf with a sweet topping (my favorite!). Then a fruit plate, always different with pineapple, watermelon, mango, banana or dragon fruit - so delicious! And then sometimes scrambled eggs, omelettes, fried rice, muesli with yogurt (!) or something similar.
Yesterday morning we did a little tour with the sea kayak, but it was quite windy and therefore shaky, not really my thing... I prefer it a little quieter... Then in the afternoon a little snorkeling tour from the beach. Not exciting, but there were some fish to be seen and it was fun to snorkel again after a long time.
In the evening there is often a coconut festival and we have already lost our reputation here as the "Coconut Killer"... Better than many cocktails. There are also very tasty and refreshing fruit shakes, pineapple, mango, watermelon...
Actually we only had until December 20th. booked, but after just 3 days here we decided that we wanted to extend it because we liked it so much. So we're not traveling until December 26th. away. Unfortunately, nothing comes of the planned two days in Trang on the mainland. Since everyone is traveling around Christmas, we had a lot of trouble getting two berths on the night train to Bangkok, which we only decided after a lot of research for December 26th. succeeded. So it goes from the deserted island to the busy capital - a complete contrast!
