Nice Kho Lanta

After our stay in Au Nangh, we went directly from the hotel to our accommodation in Kho Lanta in the morning by minibus. This time the journey was fine and we arrived at the resort in the afternoon. The beach was reachable within 2 minutes on foot and unfortunately we were disappointed. The beach was completely littered and many of the bars along the beach were closed or under construction. The beach seemed deserted and littered, which made us very pensive.

The next day we decided to explore the island on our own. So we rented a, admittedly not very environmentally friendly, scooter, which was definitely worth it! After initial difficulties, we got the hang of driving and became more and more confident with our scooter in the busy Thai traffic. Despite the enormous heat, we explored almost the entire island and discovered super beautiful beaches, small bays and nice bars with a great view. The feeling of being able to explore the surroundings freely with the scooter was definitely an important point. After a beautiful sunset on the last evening and delicious food in our accommodation, we continued by minibus to Khao Sok National Park in the morning.
