I am doing a European Voluntary Service in Baia Mare, Romania for two months. We are ten volunteers from Portugal, Spain, France, Latvia, Ireland, Bulgaria, Finland, and Germany, working for the American International School of Transylvania. Here you can see the first pictures from Baia Mare. We live together in a hostel and share a room with another person. As a group, we get along well and experience something new every day. However, the weather is a bit challenging for us as it is over 30 degrees Celsius every day here.
In general, the food portions are bigger than in Germany and meat and bread are almost always included. However, the coffee is smaller. A 'large coffee' is the size of a double espresso. The prices here are much cheaper. For example, you can buy three liters of beer for just 1.30 euros in the supermarket.
