Phuket tout semble un peu différent ici
L'enregistrement la veille au Naiyang Park Resort s'est déroulé sans accroc. Un employé nous a apporté nos valises jusqu'au bungalow. Nous n'avons pas eu le droit de toucher aux...

The next day started out quite nicely in terms of weather. The breakfast was good as well, since we knew what to eat and what to leave behind.
Today, we planned to visit Mai Khao Beach, from which one can experience the arriving airplanes heading to the international airport up close and with all senses.
We only needed to walk about 30 minutes along the beach until we reached the spot where it was loudest and where most people were gathered. Once there, the airplane show began.
A lot of planes were approaching. We had no idea that the airport was so heavily serviced by various airlines. They arrived at intervals of 10 minutes.
For us at the beach, this was a truly overwhelming experience. The giant birds hovered just a few meters above our heads, landing on the runway maybe 50 to a maximum of 100 meters away. It was noise and air pressure like never before. Even the planes that took off from the runway blasted us with their thrust wind. At times it was so strong that the items left by the spectators on the beach were blown away, some even landing in the water.
We did what everyone else was doing: waiting for the next plane to come and then take a great photo with the people and the airplane.
We managed to do this a few times, especially with video, where you can cut out the best position at the end. Each time we had to hold onto our caps tightly so they wouldn't fly away... there was one time Thorsten wasn't paying attention and it flew all the way to the water... It was so much fun. And one didn’t have to go to St. Maarten in the Caribbean, or to In-N-Out Burger in Los Angeles to experience this.
The feeling one gets when standing with the back to an arriving plane to take the photo of the year, while the giant thunders over, is frightening at first, but the next time it’s “just” a roar in the body. But combined with the strong wind that’s stirred up, it’s simply amazing...
With this experience, we enjoyed the sea in the best sunshine and let the afternoon wind down. This evening we will go out for a final meal here, and tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. the taxi will come to take us to the airport around the corner. Hopefully, because one cannot really rely 100% on what the friendly staff here say....
Thus, the last day of the best time of our life together has come to an end.
As usual, there will be a summary of the trip later. We will also gather some data and facts. Only then will this part of the travel blog be truly completed.
