Le premier vrai week-end. Dimanche, il n'y avait rien de spécial, nous sommes juste allés au parc avec G. Samedi, nous avons célébré un petit 'anniversaire' pour G. chez Susan (la mère de Molly). Regardez juste la photo, c'était incroyable.
The first real weekend. On Sunday there was nothing special, we just went to the playground with G. On Saturday we had a little birthday 'party' for G. at Susan's (Molly's Mom) place. Just look at the picture it was amazing.
La deuxième semaine était bien meilleure que la première. C'était un peu plus difficile, car ma mère d'accueil Molly était en voyage d'affaires en Floride dimanche. Donc, j'étais seule avec Kevin. Lundi, mercredi et jeudi étaient à peu près les mêmes. Je pense que G. était plus heureuse de passer les journées avec moi.
The second week was way better than the first week. It was a little harder, because my host mom Molly traveled to Florida on Sunday because she had to work there. So I was alone with Kevin. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday were sort of the same. Think G. was more happy about spending the days with me.
Les soirées étaient un peu drôles car Kevin (mon père d'accueil) ne cuisine généralement pas, mais nous avons dîné chaque jour. Nous sommes allés dans un bon restaurant de burgers jeudi, car ils veulent me montrer autant de restaurants de burgers que possible, parce que je les adore. Le restaurant s'appelait Holy Cow et c'était vraiment bon.
The evenings were a little funny because Kevin (my host dad) is usually not cooking, but we had dinner every day. We went to a good burger place on Thursday, because they want to show me as much burger places as possible, because I love them. The burger place was called Holy Cow and it was really good.
J'étais libre mercredi, vendredi et le week-end, sauf le vendredi soir, car Molly et Kevin sortaient. J'ai passé le mercredi à la bibliothèque et j'ai pris quelques livres. Et j'ai passé le vendredi à 'Pentagon City' dans le centre commercial.
I was off on Wednesday, Friday and the weekend, exept Friday evening, because Molly and Kevin went out. I spend the Wednesday in the libary and got some books. And spend the Friday in 'Pentagon City' in the shopping mall.
J'ai rencontré d'autres au pairs samedi. Nous sommes allés dans un restaurant de burgers appelé Shake Shack, le burger était bon, mais pas aussi bon que dans Holy Cow. Après cela, nous avons mangé une glace vraiment chère. Et nous avons aussi vu la Maison Blanche, pour moi encore une fois, mais nous sommes allés sur l'arrière.I met some other aupairs on Saturday. We went to a Burger Place called Shake Shack, the Burger was good, but not as good as in the Holy Cow. After that we ate some really expensive Ice Creme. And we also saw the white house, for me again, but we went to the back side of it.Dimanche, il y avait l'événement 'AuPair et Famille'. Molly était un peu fatiguée à cause du voyage d'affaires, donc je suis allée avec Kevin et G. J'ai rencontré une fille que je connaissais de l'école de formation et nous avons eu une bonne conversation.On Sunday there was the 'AuPair and Family-Event' Molly was a little done, because of the work travel, so I went with Kevin and G. I met a girl I knew from the training school and we had a really god talk. La semaine prochaine. Lundi, mardi et jeudi étaient des journées normales de travail. J'ai passé les matinées au parc, où j'ai rencontré Lisa et C. G. et C. sont les meilleures amies, elles sont trop mignonnes, jouant ensemble et c'est plus facile pour Lisa et moi si elles sont occupées l'une avec l'autre. J'ai passé les après-midis chez moi ou je suis allée à la piscine. Jeudi, G. m'a fait un câlin pendant une demi-heure, ce qui était trop mignon.Next week. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday were normal 'working' days. I spend the mornings at the playground, where I met Lisa and C. G. and C. are best friends, they are soo cute, playing together and it's easier for Lisa and me if they are just busy with each other. I spend the afternoons at home or went to the pool. On Thursday G. huged me for half an hour, which was soo cute.Mercredi, je suis allée à la bibliothèque encore une fois et j'ai acheté un journal après cela. Vendredi, j'ai rencontré un autre au pair au musée de l'air et de l'espace à Washington DC. Après cela, nous sommes allés dans un parc où une bande de jazz jouait.On Wednesday I went to the libary, again and bought a diary for me after that. On Friday I met an other aupair at the air and space museum in Washington DC. After that we went in a park, where a Jazz band was playing.Samedi, j'ai rencontré quelques au pairs à Washington DC, encore une fois. Nous sommes allés au Lincoln et au Mémorial de la Seconde Guerre mondiale.On Saturday I met some aupairs in Washington DC, again. We went to the Lincoln and the World War II Memorial. Samedi soir, j'ai rencontré mon amie Mandy et nous avons regardé quelqu'un chanter dans la rue à Chinatown et après cela, nous avons bu un cocktail.On Saturday evening I met my friend Mandy and we watched somebody singing at the street in Chinatown and drank a cocktail after that.Dimanche, j'avais mon cours de voyage 'Niagara Falls - le flot de l'histoire'. C'était ennuyeux comme je m'y attendais, mais bon je le fais juste pour voyager aux chutes du Niagara. On Sunday I had my travel class 'Niagara Fall's - the flow of Histroy'. Is was boring as I expected, but ok I just do it because of traveling to the Niagara Falls.
