DAY 2: Welcome on board and welcome Sitzfleisch
Good morning from Sin City and a warm "hello" to our backsides J
After a good 15 hours of flying and 24 hours on our feet, we are a little battered but in top form from the headquarters of Casino Heaven!
But before reaching our destination, we have a long flight, or in our case, flights ahead of us.
Flight AC 9633 took off on time at 14 o'clock and as soon as we disappeared through the cloud cover, Mother Nature hit us full force... Sun, sun and more sun! So, blinds down and now we had plenty of time for entertainment.
Surprised by the current cinema offering, it didn't take long for the headphones and screens to be running at full speed.
But the peace didn't last long and soon we had the first course and felt like we had drinks from the onboard kitchen 15 times. Michi's pre-ordered vegetarian menu magically found its way to the small table and the rest didn't take long either, plus a little glass of gin and our Netflix series marathon could continue.
Too soon to celebrate:
One of the chief stewards hit it off with us right away and soon we had the next load of crackers, cake, and something sweet in front of us. In addition, there were nice chats and jokes during the individual rounds, making the flight even more relaxed and turning our 8-hour stay on board into pure pleasure.
In the end, we were even given a phone number ;)
Upon arriving in Canada, there was not much time to marvel: immigration, transit area, a brief coffee chat at Starbucks, and then it was on to flight AC1857 from Montreal to Las Vegas.
After another 5 very narrow and above all noisy hours (baby crying that not even the earplugs we brought could do anything about), we arrived a little battered but happy in the City of Sin.
Quickly to the car rental station and off we went.
Hard to believe when you drive through Las Vegas with a big Jeep at night for the first time and are completely overwhelmed and blinded by all the lights of the billboards and hotels. A trained eye was needed to distinguish the traffic lights from all the surrounding hustle and bustle.
After a 15-minute drive, we finally reached the Stratosphere Tower Hotel at the northern end of the Strip... quickly parked the car and into the wonderland of air conditioners.
We took a short tour of the hotel and the 300m high tower and fell into bed with swollen eyes, where we are still sitting right now.
Now we are about to experience our first real day in Las Vegas, and it will have a lot of surprises in store.
What happens in Vegas stays on Facebook ;)
