Theresienhöhe
La excursión de miércoles de hoy nos llevó a Theresienhöhe, donde no habíamos estado en mucho tiempo. El clima es perfecto para montar en bicicleta y mi inyección de ácid

Oh, how we have been looking forward to South Tyrol! Two years ago, we were here for the last time, but then a bit further south. This time we are back in St. Pauls, where we used to come often, even before Daniel and then with him as a baby. It is simply beautiful here!
Michael woke me up at 5:30 AM (but that was okay for me!) and an hour later we were already on our way. The drive went well, even though the many construction sites at Brenner are annoying. Our first stop was traditionally at McDonald's at the Europabrücke, where I had my traditional Egg McMuffin and Michael had scrambled eggs.
We had some time until we could access the holiday apartment, so we drove to Meran. It was quite lively there today on Sunday, and even a few shops were open. The city is really beautiful, and we will definitely go back and maybe visit the thermal baths. We walked past them and admired the amazing garden. The outdoor pools (there are about 20 in total, both indoor and outdoor!) are only open until Wednesday.
We strolled along the promenades by the Passer for about an hour and took a short break in between, with a view of the river and the soothing sound of the water splashing.
Then we continued to our destination, the holiday apartment in St. Pauls. It has just been freshly renovated and is located in the house where Aunt Trude spent her summer vacations almost every year until three years ago. She still traveled with the Flixbus at her old age! Daniel will be coming next week and will occupy “her” room. He’s not coming by Flixbus but by his own car! 😁
In the meantime, we have unpacked, and Michael is taking his siesta while I make myself comfortable on the wonderful, shady terrace. The weather is expected to remain summery - how nice for us!
