Today, the first day without traffic jams. Hard to believe...
Short gelato break in Touro at Lake Trasimeno, where the Italians still ride horses to eat ice cream.
We leave Tuscany and come to Umbria, which in the interior could be Thuringia, but with olive groves.
Arrived in Bevagna at Il Grotto with Annelie and Georg, a B&B farm, where we are allowed to stay overnight in the parking lot today. The farm is idyllically located in an olive grove on a hillside. From each of the many places to eat or relax, you have a magnificent view over the wide plain, to cities like Bevagna and Assisi and the adjoining mountain range.
After a fantastic dinner with typical local dishes and a donkey feeding at night, we briefly consider sleeping on our chairs outside the camper van because the thermometer still shows 26°C.
