SARAGOSSA

We left early for Saragossa yesterday morning. We chose the route off the highway and thus drove through very rural areas. I think the region with the different olive groves and almond plantations is wonderful. This time there were also huge fields of yellow peppers next to us. They looked gigantic. I have never seen anything like that before. The drive to Saragossa was definitely very beautiful.

In Saragossa, we immediately headed to the large square with the cathedral. We were very impressed by the magnificent buildings. The square was also nicely designed with some fountains and there were repeatedly statues of painters positioned around. Daniela went to see the cathedral from the inside. I waited outside on the square with Littlefoot, watching the lively hustle and bustle! We then walked to the river onto a bridge and had a super nice view of the cathedral from there. It was very impressive. Afterwards, we strolled through the old town a bit and were also delighted by two or three alleys. They reminded us of the Düsseldorf old town. However, we missed some flair in this city. Saragossa, like the region, has a strong simplicity. But unlike the landscape, which had captivated us with a partly stark beauty, Saragossa has not succeeded in this...

The food was also a disaster. We had chosen a sweet restaurant and ordered tapas there. HELP - those were by far the worst tapas ever! After the meal, we set off again and drove back to Aizon.

The owner of our accommodation was present and gave us great information for our onward journey tomorrow.

Littlefoot got to be a photo model again in the evening. Daniela showcased her in various spots on the premises and in the accommodation. The little one was generously rewarded with treats and she really didn't mind it at all :-())!
