La previsión del tiempo decía que iba a llover en todo el trayecto. Qué bien que eso no se cumplió. Pude recorrer más de 40 kilómetros en seco. Solo después empezó a llover de manera muy ligera. En pocas palabras, la lluvia no fue realmente molesta, sobre todo porque casi no había viento. Sin embargo, un problema es mi teléfono, que está sujeto al manillar con la app Komoot y me muestra continuamente mi posición y el mapa. Cuando una gota golpea la pantalla, tiene el mismo efecto que si toco con el dedo. Así que Komoot hace cosas incorrectas que confunden. Por eso guardo el teléfono en el bolsillo, donde se mantiene seco. Aun así, puedo escuchar las instrucciones. Aquí hay otro problema. No puedo subir lo suficiente el volumen en el casco, así que no oigo nada cuando el ruido del tráfico es muy fuerte o el viento sopla con fuerza.

Por eso, perdí un desvío y solo me di cuenta de ello después de un rato. Una mirada al mapa me mostró que tenía que girar a la próxima calle a la izquierda para volver a mi ruta. Pero había una obra ferroviaria y no había forma de pasar. No pude activar la función 'Ajuste automático de la ruta' en Komoot, ya que no estaba disponible hoy.

Esto me dificultó encontrar a mis amigos Dieter y Barbara. Ellos estaban acampando cerca en su autocaravana y habíamos acordado encontrarnos en una pequeña cafetería. Cuando finalmente llegué, nos tomamos el tiempo para charlar un poco. Durante este tiempo, también pude calentarme un poco y reponer fuerzas. Fue un gran encuentro y una hermosa muestra de amistad. Les agradezco a ambos de corazón. 🥰

En el camino hacia ellos, ya había un nuevo desvío por otra obra que me bloqueó el paso, así que tuve que tomar un desvío por caminos de campo.

Después de este bonito interludio, nos despedimos; me quedaban unos 17 kilómetros por delante y ellos continuaron su camino hacia Landshut en la autocaravana, donde yo también había pasado hace 3 días.

Por primera vez, recorrí una parte de la ruta ciclista de Bodensee cerca de Bregenz. Lamentablemente, el clima no ayudó; un lago iluminado por el sol es mucho más hermoso. Tampoco ayudó que la Reina del Sol atracara en el puerto de Bregenz. Un barco precioso y bastante especial en su construcción. Hace años, tuve la oportunidad de participar en un evento en él. Fue una experiencia especial.

The weather forecast said that it would rain throughout the entire route. Thankfully, that was not the case. I was able to ride dry for over 40 kilometers. Only then did it start to rain very lightly. In short, the rain was not really bothersome, especially since it was practically wind still. However, one problem is my phone, which is mounted on the handlebar with the Komoot app and continuously shows me my position and the map. When a drop splashes on the screen, it has the same effect as if I were tapping it with my finger. So, Komoot does things that are incorrect and confusing. Therefore, I put my phone in my pocket where it stays dry. I can still hear the instructions, though. There's another problem here. I can't turn the volume up enough on the helmet, so I can't hear anything when the traffic noise is too loud or the wind is blowing too hard.

As a result, I missed a turn, and I only realized it after a while. A glance at the map showed me that I needed to take the next street to the left to get back on my route. But there was a railway construction site, and thus there was no way through. I couldn't activate the 'Automatic Route Adjustment' function on Komoot, as that feature was not available today.

This made it hard for me to find my friends Dieter and Barbara. They were nearby in their motorhome, and we had arranged to meet in a small café. When I finally arrived, we took the time to chat a bit. During that time, I was also able to warm up and recharge. It was a lovely encounter and a beautiful testament to friendship. I sincerely thank you both for that. 🥰

On my way to them, another construction site had already blocked my way, and I had to take a detour along country roads.

After this lovely interlude, we said our goodbyes; I still had about 17 kilometers ahead of me while they continued on their way to Landshut in the motorhome, where I had also passed by 3 days ago.

For the first time, I rode a part of the Lake Constance cycling route near Bregenz. It's a pity that the weather didn't cooperate; a lake bathed in sunlight is so much more beautiful. It didn't help that the Solar Queen had docked at the Bregenz harbor. A beautiful ship, especially in its construction. Years ago, I had the chance to be a part of an event on it. That was a special experience.
