Day 11 - (2025) Dubai: AYA & Return flight

Highlights of the day:

• AYA

Our last day in Dubai. After breakfast, we leave our beloved hotel with the beautiful view and head to the nearby Wafi Mall. There, we want to check out AYA today.

Having already experienced teamLabs and the ARTE Museum, we were initially skeptical. Especially the husband considers AYA to be 'Instagram hype' and totally overrated. But: AYA surprised us completely! It feels less like 'still art' and more like an interactive journey into another galaxy.

A really nice detail was the little passport we received at the beginning: In each of the twelve worlds, we could stick in the matching sticker – a great souvenir. However, our absolute highlight was the 'Tides' zone. Even though it first feels like the coolest ball pit in the world, it is actually a surreal mirror world full of glowing spheres, which you can dive into deeply. It was delightfully silly and tons of fun. A great testament that even after Tokyo and Abu Dhabi, you can still be surprised with brand new concepts!

So definitely worth a visit after the ARTE Museum and teamLabs!!!

We leave Wafi Mall after buying some souvenirs (chocolate dates) at Carrefour and head towards the airport.

Our flight departs on time at 15:20 towards Frankfurt.

It was truly a relaxing Dubai-Abu Dhabi trip 😉

And we will definitely see each other again next autumn!
