Room (Murder) with a View

Indeed, I have thoughts of murder.

While it is true that the view from the room is breathtaking, a murder could still be on the horizon.

The spa hotel, or rather it’s more of a resort hotel, since you are served at lunch, your room is cleaned for you, and besides the therapies, a program is offered, is somewhat off the beaten path, located on the edge of Wertach's main streets, so it is, in terms of traffic noise, quite peacefully situated.

However, at night, when you want to find sleep after a physically and psychologically exhausting day (individual and group discussions can be used for deeper contemplation of specific issues 🤔 or you go to church for that 😉), the Catholic Church interferes.

I tell you: it’s not funny!

Who the hell came up with that; as if it wasn't enough to ring at every full hour, they also ring at a quarter past, half past, quarter to, and on the hour. 🤦🏻‍♀️

And besides, why did a church have to be built right in the midst of a crowd of accommodations? Or to put it another way, why is a spa hotel only 100 meters away?

No, I think the Catholics simply want to remind us.

Hey, we’re still here. 👻 And we remind you day and night.

For although many Catholics are rather conservatively inclined with regard to the official teachings on family as a central community, the roles of men and women are generally more traditionally defined, there are also reform-oriented groups that, among other things, demand the opening of the priesthood to women as well as a greater involvement of women in leadership positions and a contemporary interpretation of gender roles.

Or nowadays, those who turn their backs entirely on the church. 🙋‍♀️

Of course, one has to be quite ambitious in playing the keys or rather the bells. 🔔

However, I was able to experience the opening, not to say relaxation, up close when I entered the church last Sunday. Not because I am religious or for heaven’s sake wanted to do penance (I wouldn’t finish today 🤭), no, it was simply hot and I urgently needed a cool down. The church is also directly on a hill. My suspicion, pure intention, to lure people in and then convert them. In any case, unlike so often, I was greeted not by organ music, no, popular hits were played, and the charts were played up and down.

I tell you.

I must admit, that this kind of cleansing from the church does mellow my murderous intentions somewhat. 😇

Right at this moment, manure is being spread right next to me. For the sake of visual imagination, I would like to mention briefly that I am sitting on a lounge chair in my bikini, eating cake, 👙🧁😎 packing my things in seconds and jumping to the side as if I have to dodge a complete idiot of a driver who plans to drive through the puddle next to me. Been there, done that, right Steffi?
