Cala Mondrago - it's time for a swim

Today, I ordered nice weather. ☀️ I'm going to indulge in doing nothing... and besides, I have a book to read.

Last night got late again after Frederico, the cook (Jamie, the waiter was not at his place yet) opened a bottle of the most expensive wine for me, without knowing it... Wow, even I could taste the difference.🤭

It was a fun evening. We were a small group, Tina from Lüneburg, was having her last night...

The most beautiful bays can be found in the north and south. I need to decide again between El Mago, named after the movie of the same name. In 1967, the classic with Antony Quinn, Michael Caine, and Candice Bergen was filmed here. At the same time, it is probably the most famous nudist beach on the island. And Parc natural de Mondrago. Here several dreamlike bays line up like a string of pearls. The bays are connected by a footpath along the cliffs, where you can already enjoy stunning views of the turquoise water. The choice falls on this bay, as I would like to wear my turquoise pants today. 😂

On the way to the beach, there are several viewing platforms to take breathtaking photos or, as in the current case....

A somewhat plump woman is trying to position herself in the area... it really looks breathtaking, especially since it goes down steeply.

This is how the proverbial selfie photos happen. I quickly sneak out of the scene to avoid being part of it.🙄

Moreover, after lying around for 4 hours, bathing (the water temperature is just right for me) and reading, I have a huge hunger.

I arranged to meet Kerstin from Santa Maria. She is originally from Munich but has been living in Mallorca for 30 years.

Thanks to technology, her bungalow-style house is quickly found.

She invites me for a herbal tea and shows me her small but cozy refuge. Her garden is a dream. Lemons, oranges, white callas. 🍋🍊 Really beautiful. 🫶

When she moved here, her daughter was just 6 years old. She attended the local school. Now she speaks German, Mallorcan and English. Well, long story...

We stop in a typical Mallorcan bar, and I eat at the end of the day. Lamb shoulder 🥹

It’s getting late again and I still have to find my way to my accommodation.

But I must admit, Conny... you can also drive in Mallorca alone. 🤪 Not just hiking 🥾

Like on a roller coaster, it goes up and down, and the narrower the roads, the higher the allowed speed. So just to my taste.🤭🚗
