Singapore welcomed us with very changeable weather. Rain was forecasted daily, so we couldn't complain that the sun shone in between or even mostly.

Our accommodation was near the Arab Quarter, so our first path led us from one mosque (directly across from our hotel) to the next.

Here, Tobi found a second breakfast for himself, apparently in an 'insta-famous' shop, before we continued strolling through the streets, passing lots of graffiti and street art.

Our goal was the Gardens by the Bay, as it showed only a 45-minute walking distance, and Baby M wanted to sleep anyway, which seemed just right. However, the path was not particularly nice, as we quickly found out, so we ended up taking the bus on subsequent occasions 😉

But at least the walk over the Helix Bridge offered us a lovely first view of the center.

On our first day, it was so hot (over 32°C) that we didn't make it far in the gardens and soon sought a shady spot, where Tobi took a nap and Baby M became a gardener, indulging in her favorite activity. In the afternoon, to cool off, we only went to the pool, as it was too warm for anything else.

In the next two days, we explored Chinatown and Little India, where we had higher expectations of Little India.

In the evening, we went back to the Gardens by the Bay, as there is currently a 15-minute music and light show every evening at the Supertrees, currently themed 'Enchanted Forest.' We found the first 5 minutes really great, but Baby M, unfortunately, only enjoyed them partially. While lovely and soft music played, she looked around with wide eyes and an open mouth; as soon as it got a bit darker, she started to cry. The lion's cave turned out to be the final boss...

In Chinatown, we visited a Hindu temple and walked through the various streets. However, since it was already so warm in the morning that we only jumped from shade to shade, we soon found ourselves just hopping into the pool.

And then the short stopover in Singapore was already over, and we drove to the airport. There, Baby M surprised us with her latest trick, as she can now crawl a few steps before rolling back onto her stomach and continuing to crawl. So now we have a crawling baby.

Next Stop: Koh Samui, Thailand
