3rd day

Today was another fantastic start to the day. Sunshine and pleasant temperatures tempted us to go for a walk early on. We had to navigate through numerous construction sites to get to the Passeig de Gracia bus stop and take the bus to the Sagrada Familia. We arrived early and went for a coffee. Then it was time to line up - just like at the airport: security check. Take off your jacket, remove your watches, put your cap and jackets in a tray, which then went through the scanner. Go through a metal detector and then retrieve everything from the tray - very important: turn on the audio guide. And after a few steps into the building: be amazed. It is very impressive what Gaudi came up with many years ago and managed to implement. Knowing that he himself would never finish this building. You can find out exactly what he was thinking through the audio guide. An experience worth having.

We quickly went to the Chocolate Museum and of course bought some chocolate. The beach is not far from there. Because of the beautiful weather, all bars/restaurants are crowded. It's already 2:00 PM, lunchtime. A couple of croquettes and a tomato bread are always a favorite for us. Enjoy a bit of beach life and then take the Barcelona Bus Turistic back towards the hotel. We stayed on the lower level of the bus just for today; yesterday's experience was enough. And then it's just dinner. That's how day 3 ends.

No. 3:

This morning we left right after breakfast to go to the Sagrada Familia. When we arrived at the bus stop where the bus was supposed to take us to the Sagrada Familia, we could admire the crazy houses that resemble fairy tale houses.

The Sagrada Familia was truly fascinating, the beautiful windows in combination with the incredible exterior facade were simply incredible! The audio guide was really interesting too, and it was just breathtaking in general to see how much work has been put into this church and is still being put into it. Overall, a truly beautiful experience - highly recommended!

After that, we took a taxi to the Chocolate Museum, which was also really nice, and of course, we bought chocolate there too.

Then we had a quick lunch at a café near the beach. And later, we had a delicious ice cream on the go.

Dinner was also very tasty again. We went to the same restaurant as yesterday - and it was just lovely.
