At seven in the morning

Almost Alone at the Beach

Sunshine already at 6 AM, so I could still take a walk before breakfast. I hadn’t found a lucky stone yet, nor any amber or thunderbolts.

It was already quite warm, but there were very few people out with or without dogs. Plenty of animal babies still had their peace and were allowed to 'breakfast' in the Trave without their parents. A goose stood in a Qigong position on one leg and kept watch over sleeping companions. Mama swan was preening her feathers while the bravest from the family searched everything on the docks for something edible.

Along the beach promenade, a tractor driver was trying his hand at creating a so-called Zen garden (sand paintings). It looked fun – the result as well. Unfortunately, the beach had been cleared up to the water's edge. No chance to find a lucky stone or something similar.
Had a little chat with a young woman who spent a few days on the tall ship ALBATROS. No resting – real work! Including night shifts! That wouldn’t be for me, really pulling on ropes and later rolling up all the sails again. Helping out in the galley as a vegetable cutter – I could imagine that – as long as there’s no rough sea.

Then took some more photos and went back to have breakfast at the DEUTSCHER KAISER, packed my suitcase and said goodbye to the Baltic Sea and the very warm weather.
