On our Lake Garda tour, we spontaneously decided to visit the city of Verona.
The beautiful sights in Verona and the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town along the picturesque Adige River, where colorful townhouses mix with historic monumental buildings, create a special charm.
The city also served as the setting for Shakespeare's love story “Romeo and Juliet”.
The enchanting charm of Verona and its numerous attractions captivate visitors from all over the world every year.
Among the absolute highlights is the imposing Roman amphitheater from the 1st century, the landmark of the metropolis, where concerts still take place today. Besides, Verona has many other attractions such as Piazza delle Erbe, Castel San Pietro, Ponte Pietra, Castelvecchio, Torre dei Lamberti, Santa Maria Matricolare, Basilica of Verona, San Zeno Maggiore, and so much more.
At the motorhome parking lot on the
Strada Bresciana 44 37139 Veronawe stayed for 3 nights and conveniently took the bus (bus stop right by the parking lot) into the center of the Old Town.
