We went out with our caravan for the first time, and our destination was Neukloster Camping by the Lake.
We noticed that we needed a few things that we hadn't thought of, like a mover to help with parking. Also, everyday items like salt and pepper, a broom, and an air fryer.
The people at the campsite are super nice; a big shout-out to the groundskeeper and the cleaning staff.
It’s a great place for children aged 4 to 12 to play and make friends. There is a beautiful lake with islands for sliding down and pedal boats are also available.
There are wonderful hiking trails to explore. Dogs are very welcome.
You feel warmly welcomed by the groundskeeper.
In Neukloster, there are a few shops and ice cream parlors that are easily reachable on foot, as well as Aldi and Penny not far away.
The Wismar Zoo is great for kids, and a huge park with a lookout tower is nearby.
Now for the negatives: unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are not very nice and everything is quite outdated, making the place feel very unkempt. There is no Wi-Fi, and even with a satellite setup, there's no chance of TV. There are no bread rolls or a small kiosk, so you’re forced to go into town.
Otherwise, it's a place where you can really unwind. We will definitely come back again.
