It was so beautiful that we stayed with Thomas in Trondheim again; the view and hospitality will always remain close to our hearts🥰 Today we also got to know his wife. She is incredibly nice.

In the evening, when it became a bit cooler, we went to the sea with the dogs. They were ready to eat. But so were we!

The next morning, we got up early to see a bit of the city before it got really hot.

First sightseeing stop: Fortress Kristiansten. East of the city lies the historic fortress. It was built after the great city fire in 1681 to protect the city from attacks from the east. It played a crucial role in the defense of Trondheim, especially in 1718, when it had to protect the city from the Swedes. It is named after the Danish-Norwegian King Christian V.

Second sightseeing stop: Old Town Bridge.

Third sightseeing stop: Nidaros Cathedral. SIMPLY OVERWHELMING, with its incredible details. The city of Trondheim was previously called Nidaros. The cathedral is one of the most important churches in Norway and is considered a national shrine. Since 1152, it has been the seat of the Norwegian Metropolitan. In the Middle Ages and from 1818 to 1906, it was the coronation site of the Norwegian kings. Seven kings have been crowned and ten buried there. Construction began in 1090.

Then we briefly stopped at a café, refreshed ourselves, and then went back to our camper which is now named Frederiks😂 it’s been quite a while since we baptized her🙊
