....completely relaxed, no firecrackers days before, no alcohol, friendly and relaxed crowds. We were very calm, walking along the river to a good viewpoint at Marina Bay (directly across). We had a good spot; everyone squeezed together so that we could see well. Shortly after 11 PM the first rockets went up, with breaks in between there were several small, beautiful fireworks. Then the countdown...... fireworks lasted about 10 minutes and that was it. People stood up and went home. There was a little encore and that was really it 🤷
We wanted to stop somewhere for a toast or even dancing.... either the bars were already closed or were just shutting down. We had a little something to toast with at the hotel and sat by the pool ....
Conclusion: New Year's Eve can also be completely relaxed and peaceful 🙏.....a little bit more celebration wouldn't have hurt either 😉
