.... we had to get up very early today to catch the first ferry from Moorea to Tahiti. It worked out .... and was rewarded by the sunrise over the island of Tahiti.

In the harbor of Papeete, we had only a short walk from the ferry terminal to the terminal of the ARANUI 5, and the check-in formalities were also completed relatively quickly.

We have a great cabin on the top deck of this combined cargo-passenger ship with a balcony (Deck 9). After a brief individual tour of the ship, a traditional Tahitian, colorful, and atmospheric welcome followed on the pool and parade deck 7.

With a view of the sunset over the Pacific and a cocktail in hand, we ended this day 🌸 and are now on our way by ship to the Marquesas Islands 🌸
